Operation: Extreme Makeover
Campaign for Technology, Kitchen, Conference Room and Foyer Enhancement
We are launching a new fundraising appeal. Operation Extreme Makeover aims to raise money:
For an integrated technology program to link our seven service departments
To replace our walk-in freezer
To install a broiler component to our stove
To replace a rug in our main conference room and front foyer
To replace an air conditioning unit
Operation Extreme Makeover has set a $125,000 target for 2010 to fulfill its needs. Hosting and sponsoring a variety of programs has caused a stress and strain on the facility. As a non profit ministry, we need to become more efficient technologically by linking and integrating our 7 service departments in our operation. We require a uniquely designed software program to unify our bookings, programming, finances and fundraising.
As well, to continue to provide a first rate welcome and hospitality, we need to enhance Conference Room A with a new industrial rug that can stand up to the pressure of high traffic. Likewise, the foyer needs an upgrade to offer warmth and welcome. As well, in order for the House to provide wonderful home cooked meals, it is imperative to replace the walk-in freezer as the current freezer is on its last legs and to enhance diversity in cooking, the kitchen requires a broiler. Lastly, the air conditioner that cools a third of the building needs to be replaced because it has broken down.
In summary, the needs are as follows:
1. Technology system and program package: $50,000
2. Conference Room A - Rug replacement: $20,000
3. Foyer - Replace flooring: $20,000
4. Walk-In freezer: $10,000
5. Broiler System: $5,000
6. Air Conditioner Unit: $21,000
The goal is to continue to serve all peoples within our community, dioceses and beyond. This goal was first begun over 5O years ago when the Oblate missionaries put down roots on this beautiful landscape overlooking the North Saskatchewan River. Our goal is also to honor the Oblate priests, religious and other religious congregations who partnered with the Oblates to respond to the call of service for others by welcoming all the faces of the poor. Queen’s House is committed to making its home your home away from home by presenting a comfortable and inspiring environment. Please support us with a generous tax deductible donation. We appreciate and look forward to your partnership in attaining our $125,000 objective. Please complete the bottom portion of this letter when you send us your donation.
