In Christ Our Light
Welcome to another year of offerings for your spiritual renewal! We invite you to check out our schedule for numerous retreats and workshops that we hope will give you the inspiration and rejuvenation you need to carry on more deeply on your spiritual journey.

You may want to make note of our special guest facilitators coming to give retreats this fall and in the New Year. We have several prolific and notable authors and spiritual guides.

Margaret Silf, well-known spiritual writer from England, is joining us November 27-29, to lead a weekend retreat on “Loyola Dreaming…How St. Ignatius Challenges & Invites us to a Deeper Journey of Life”. Her books include:
Inner Compass, Wayfaring, Roots and Wings, Companions of Christ, At Sea with God, Sacred Spaces, Wise Choices, The Way of Wisdom and, most recently, Compass Points

May 21-23, 2010, Sr. Barbara Fiand, SNDdeN, leads us for “Embracing Jesus as the Christ of our Today and our Tomorrow”. Through the years she has written ten books:
Awe-Filled Wonder: The Interface of Science and Spirituality, From Religion Back to Faith: A Journey of the Heart, In the Stillness You Will Know: Exploring the Paths of our Ancient Belonging, Refocusing the Vision: Religious Life Into the Future, Prayer and Our Quest for Healing: Our Personal Transformation and Cosmic Responsibility, Wrestling with God: Religious Life in Search of its Soul, Embraced by Compassion: On Human Longing and Divine Response, Where Two or Three are Gathered: Community Life for the Contemporary Religious, Living the Vision: Religious Life in an Age of Change, Releasement: Spirituality for Ministry

Ron Rolheiser, OMI returns to give yet another engaging retreat “Entering the Soul through Stories”, July 5-8, 2010. His works include:
Shattered Lanterns, Against an Infinite Horizon, The Holy Longing, The Restless Heart, Forgotten Among the Lilies, and Secularity and the Gospel

Finally, but certainly not least, we are pleased to present Kathleen Norris who will lead a summer retreat, July 9-11, 2010 based on her most recent book, Acedia and Me, “A New Fidelity for Everyday Life: Beyond Acedia”. Kathleen is the award-winning poet, writer, and author of the New York Times bestsellers:
The Cloister Walk, Dakota: A Spiritual Geography, Amazing Grace: A Vocabulary of Faith, and The Virgin of Bennington
Exploring the spiritual life, her work is at once intimate and historical, rich in poetry and meditations, brimming with exasperation and reverence, deeply grounded in both nature and spirit, sometimes funny, often provocative, and always important.

Don’t miss out on these great opportunities and so much more in our schedule to be renewed spiritually in Christ our light! Register online or call us soon at (306) 242-1916.

We seek the light of Christ and find
Our path besmirched with mire
Yet undeterred we clear our mind
And enter into fire

Where cleansed and freed from shadows
We embrace the truth with trust
And grow in times of fallow
Into light of Christ through us
